Spoken Word Event that we are sponsoring next week, but this particular
discussion is being run out of DML/Lealtad-Suzuki Center.
Sha has been a HUGE supporter of the Mellon Program and her prominence in the
spoken word/theatre community both nationally and locally can not be
overstated. Besides that, her work speaks the truth. YOU DONT WANT TO MISS THIS
DISCUSSION.

Sha Cage and e.g. bailey from Tru Ruts will be facilitating a small
community discussion on *Friday, November 9, at 5pm, in the Weyerhaeuser
Boardroom, *to discuss *"SETTING THE STANDARDS FOR NEW SPOKEN WORD: The
intersection where spoken word versus experimental theater are
seamlessly woven together." *
This is a pre-performance opportunity in conjunction with Chicano
Messengers of Spoken Word program at 8pm on Nov. 9. I'd love to have
Mellon students participate in this discussion, and you are the first
group of students I am approaching with this opportunity.
