Folks,
Many of you know and love Doug Kearney already, from his days here in
Minnesota. Also, he co-featured with Dennis Kim at EQ a while back, at
one of our very best shows. He'll be here tomorrow to celebrate the
publication of his first official volume of poetry, "Fear, some." He's
taking a very strenuous flight to get here to us all the way from LA --
the least we can do is show up for his excellent poems, yes? I truly
believe he is one of the most talented, provocative poets of our
generation.
Added to this are two stellar local writers and organizers, Sun Yung
Shin and Shannon Gibney -- their groundbreaking anthology is an
incredible work that you definitely need to check out.
Plus, cake.
