Hi Fabio, We did some testing for the Zimbra Zimlet, encrypting files of 10-35MB worked, did not look at RAM. Also we did not produce any patches.
We did use RSA keys generated by OpenPGP.js, when we used keys generated by GnuPG the performance was a lot worse. Especially for old DSA keys. So what key types are you using? Does Mailvelope, Whiteout.io, Zimbra-Zimlet had some specific performance improvement / hacks that has been done to manage large file uploads reducing it's memory footprint? We've saw stuff like a 10Mb file upload to use more than 1GB memory, so there's something wrong happening. I'm wondering which is the experience of ready-made products using OpenPGP.js for such purposes of file upload being encrypted and decrypted client-side? -- Fabio Pietrosanti (naif) HERMES - Center for Transparency and Digital Human Rights http://logioshermes.org - https://globaleaks.org - https://tor2web.org - https://ahmia.fi _______________________________________________ http://openpgpjs.org Subscribe/unsubscribe: http://list.openpgpjs.org
