I take it that you were trying to use IE5 to load a local copy of
readme.htm located on your harddrive? IE5 locked up? Sounds like a
dangerous webpage ;-).
I had no problems reading readme.htm using Netscape Navigator. Perhaps you
want to switch to Netscape?
Seriously, sounds like your system is instable. No matter what readme.htm
contains, IE5 shouldn't hang. Even if IE5 does hang, you should be able to
simply shut it down using the task manager ("End Task"), without having to
reboot. Perhaps you should switch to Linux?
