You're welcome; in fact I overlooked then two things you noted

"^(9b)" is the CSI Control Sequence Introducer used to use less bandwidth :-) than the 
couple "^(1b)["
It should be a standard ANSI char (in the RKM I see a reference to a ANSI 3.64 
standard), but I understand that it is a printable char in some systems or fonts.

Instead "^(1b)0 p" is an Amiga specific control sequence to turn text cursor off (I 
didn't notice it wasn't ANSI).

Amiga: turn cursor on.
