If I had some free time... :-/
Anyway, if someone is going to write it, I'd like to read it and 
give comments. :-) (So at least I'll feel a little
collaborative... ;)

Yup. I assume they have a very good reason for not fixing it
(perhaps the new features promised by Carl?).
