I hope this won't be considered noise in what is already a long thread, but some might be interested in how assumptions can be wrong and how often..
but i think almost every tab browser user would use the tabs.
Maybe, but certainly not all. There is one sitting a few metres away from me at my office .. a die-hard Netscape user. It took me months to get her out of Netscape and into Mozilla, and then into Firefox. She won't use the tabs though .. she opens everything in a new window. It's "confusing" to have to look at the tab bar; she prefers to look down at the task bar to switch between pages. And this from someone for whom it took 4 years of university study to become a highly paid professional: it confuses her! It drives me seriously crazy. man, it's like playing Bach but leaving out the articulation, or Debussy without the pedal. s. ****************************************************** The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list & getting help ******************************************************
