that's it, exactly. I'd rather see some specific elements with better defined semantics, but not in the core language, but as a module (if we're thinking XHTML 2.0 for a second).

but at least there's a tool for marking up that difference in a document. Theoretically, would you like it more if it were called <indexsomething />?
