Hi all,

I have a page which should be rendering in standards mode in IE7 (i.e.: it has
a doctype and doesn't have the xml prolog). According to Chris Wilson the *
html hack should not apply in this case
(http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/09/15/467901.aspx)

What I'm finding is that IE7 is applying the * html rule the same way as IE6.
This is beneficial for me, as it fixes a font-sizing issue in both browsers,
but I want to know WHY it's occurring.

How does one go about finding out whether IE7 is rendering in quirks or
standards/strict mode?

Paul
