is there any way to see what a website would look like when visited
in IE 6 or 7 without actually having them installed? Newer IE's are
not available for OS X, so I would need some kind of emulation.
There may be hope - I believe that wine is being ported to OSX, although
as I don't have a Mac, I haven't looked into it too deeply. Just google
for wine and OSX: http://www.google.com/search?q=wine%20osx
I operate exclusively under Linux and, until recently, have had to
dual-boot with Windows in order to test with IE. However, some clever
fellow in Brazil has written a piece of software (in Python, I think)
that downloads whichever versions of IE you want and sets up wine
wrappers for them. This means I am able to run IEs 5,5.5,6,7
simultaneously (not recommended for slower machines!) with Firefox,
Opera and Konqueror, which is really neat. The IE 7 doesn't include
tabs and RSS, since it is actually IE6 with the IE7 rendering engine, or
so I am lead to believe.

You may wish to look into this, just in case it can/sometime will work
for OSX.
Now what _I_ would like is some way to run Safari under Linux...
Cheers
