hj: Trouble is you're speaking from presumed knowledge. Much better to go back to the dirty room or the sorrowful mind. Let that speak to me. My
sensitivity may be a little dulled by too much noise. But still.

gv: The sorrowful mind dwells on thought of what was or what could have been or perhaps what is felt should be. It moves in images which is darkness. The
light in oneself is untouched by all that. It is the energy/light of
awareness that dissipates the center that suffers.

hj: You're three-quarters asleep. But sooner or later you always drop the hot potato. We were talking of motivation. And you brought up k's beautiful and highly pertinent words about the man faced with a dirty room or a sorrowful mind. Where then originates the impulse to do something? It originates in the seeing. Just as in the example when one reaches out to support someone on the verge of stumbling. There is no thought then to block the action. The seeing and facing of the dirty room or the sorrow similarly initiates action - if there is n o thought tp
block it.
