hj: Trouble is you're speaking from presumed knowledge. Much better to go back to the dirty room or the sorrowful mind. Let that speak to me. My
sensitivity may be a little dulled by too much noise. But still.

gv: The sorrowful mind dwells on thought of what was or what could
have been
or perhaps what is felt should be. It moves in images which is
darkness. The
light in oneself is untouched by all that. It is the energy/light of
awareness that dissipates the center that suffers.

hj: You're three-quarters asleep. But sooner or later you always drop
the hot potato. We were talking of motivation. And you brought up k's
beautiful and highly pertinent words about the man faced with a dirty
room or a sorrowful mind.

gv: it is your habitual pretense that you can judge the consciousness
of others despite your admitted confusion. You are in good company
of course. Sure we speak of impetus. But I am pointing to the quality
of that which gives impetus.

hj: I love to see you get mad. It's like a spring shower on thirsty ground.
So now, dear gregorio, listen up: When I see my filthy room and I have
guests coming, that situation triggers the release of energy. With sorrow, things are a little more complicated, but also more real. For sorrow implies depression, resistance, and all that. Although a perennially filthy room is also a source of depression. I should know. Now then, are you listening? No you aren't, are you? You're just thinking of your next answer. So let's just reverse roles and you write out my part. Go on!. "If I, gregorio van
Tongeren, humbly admit my state of sorrow, a commensurate quantity of
energy will be released from my endocrine bureau to allow me to deal
with the situation appropriately." Isn't that great! Now you're free,
liberated for all time from any need to pretend to any preposterous
wisdom. And the world will love you forever, just as you are and just for
what you are. (There will be a small charge at the appropriate time, or
you can do some research in lieu of payment. Are those good terms?)
