1.0.23-1 is out! The change log is again long, so here is the link for
your convenience:

I didn't get time to complete the code clean-up, but you will find
that there have been made a few changes to the structuring of files. I
hope this will reduce the memory requirements of building Binc IMAP.

More restructuring is to come in the near future, as I will reform the
design a bit by creating a Binc IMAP server object factory. This will
be a big plus to the goal of having a simple and modular C++ design.

Dids
----

All configuration options in the conf file can now be overrun with
command line arguments. There are two man pages now that describe how
this is done - one for bincimapd and one for the bincimap.conf file.
I hope you will find the new man pages useful.

It should not be a problem to compile Binc IMAP using another prefix,
such as /usr/local. The service and conf files should be correct
now. The RPM has been made relocatable, but I can't get this to work
myself - the RPM installs at the default location even when an rpm -qi
explicitly says that the package is relocatable. I hope I'm mistaken
and that this isn't a bug in RPM :-(. I'm using 4.1, but I've tested
with several versions. Does somebody have any useful experience here?

Did-nots
--------

I did not yet add the authenticator list to our conf file. I haven't
had time, but its on my todo list. I did not add any extensions this
time, either - sorry :(.

Progress Page
-------------

I cleaned up the progess page so that it's easier for you to see what
has and what has not been done, and in what versions. I saw no good
reason to back-port this progress list to earlier development stages,
so I reset the list on version 1.0.23-1. The dates are meant to
reflect the last time a change was made to the given item.

Contributions Page
------------------

We now have a page for user contributions. If you have patches that I
can't include in the main tree, or if you wrote an authenticator that
you beleive that others Binc IMAP'ers can use, then please post it to
the list and I'll add it to the contributions page.

Notes
-----

The default RPM installs under /opt/bincimap. I can store a spec file
(or more) that installs Binc IMAP elsewhere, which will require the
user to do an rpmbuild on the specific spec file to get the desired
RPM. If this is interesting for the users, please edit the spec.in
file in the distribution and post the changes to the mailing list. I
can add it as a contribution.

So that's it - enjoy the latest release of Binc IMAP:
