This problem might be related to the 1.0.x to 1.1.x problem of us changing 
to a new hierarchy delimiter.

Have you tried recreating your IMAP account setup after this upgrade?
What do the logs say?

The symlink can be created automatically by inserting a shell script in 
the execution pipeline. I will bundle a sample script with the next 
release, but until then you may want to check out the following message
