That's as far a I can get when trying to test via telnet?

You have to type ". login tom xxx"! So, you forgot to type ". " = "[dot][space]" or "1 " in front of "login". Just try again...

duh, right there in front of me! Works fine.

I'm trying to use Mozilla 1.5b, kinda works, [...]
But when you try to move mail to folders, [...]

I don't know about Mozilla 1.5b, but 1.4 works fine on Linux and Windows.

I also did short tests with kmail and evolution on Linux and Outlook on
Windows. Everything works fine... as far as I could see. :-)

Maybe you have to downgrade to the latest stable version 1.4.

Will try an older version (actually the current stable ver.)

By the way, very impressed with "Bincimap", I've
been holding off installing an Imap server until now.

Erm... you DID install an IMAP server by installing bincimap... or did you mean "been holding off testing OTHER imap servers"?

-Stefan-

Actually, been holding off. Looked at courier and for some reason decided to hold off. Someone the other day suggested BincImap on the qmail list.

Thanks
Ken
