Well, strangely enough, but OpenSSL as a part of FreeBSD does not install any certificates. The only file in /etc/ssl is openssl.cnf. That's why it would certainly benefit FreeBSD users if Binc IMAP port has an option to create certificates.
I recently installed FBSD v4.8 on a machine, taken right off the iso on their website, and it installed with RSA and DSA keys right away, ready to go..
