I'm not sure what BITS is lacking because I've never taken the time to fully understand ALL of its capabilities and features. I assume that's documented on TechNet :). I'm also not certain to what extent ConfigMgr utilizes BITS from server-side CM components to client side. Or maybe CM today has superior technology than BITS?
