Computers are already running latest BIOS, A07.

We started plugging the KVM into USB 3.0 ports only (on a different bus) and
that seems to have fixed our issues.

Thanks!

I had a client that had bluescreen issues with the A06 version of the 3020 CAB.
Rolled back to the A05 version and the problem was gone.

Subject: [mssms] Driver install failing - KVM issue?

So I’m running into an odd issue when imaging Dell OptiPlex 3020’s for our
summer deployment. After the .wim file and driver packages are laid down the
computer reboots into the Windows OS to install the drivers. It gets to about
51-52% of the way through and then blue screens, referencing
BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. A quick search shows that it has timed out waiting for the
port-change state machine to be disabled. Sometimes if you image again it
works, sometimes it doesn’t. There is about an 80% failure rate.

If you remove the USB KVM setup from the equation the image is successful 100%
of the time. From what I can tell I have the latest drivers from Dell being
installed for all devices.

Has anyone else run into a situation like this before? Besides not using the
KVM, is there anything else that could be done to fix this? We are outsourcing
most of our unboxing/imaging to an outside vendor with this KVM setup so
ideally it would be nice to come up with a solution that keeps the KVM.

Thanks for any assistance!
