Can you screen-capture or share (logs) the actual error message? Also, try launching the SCUP admin tool with elevates admin privileges. Or maybe even as local system using psexec.
I had a similar issue in the past and one of the two recommendations above is what I had to do to resolve. Also, have you added the cert to the site server's Root Certificate and WSUS Publishers in the certificates MMC snap-in? 1E | Software Lifecycle Automation On Jun 5, 2015, at 11:16 PM, Mears, Mark <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: I haven’t gotten that far yet but thanks for that tip! I'll use it after I'm able to publish to the update server. SCUP is telling me that it won't publish because there is no certificate assigned. It is not accepting the certificate we have in this dialog. <image003.png> Thanks, Mark A. This will grow in the future to maybe 2000 machines but will never get out of supportability limits. I have tried to install SCUP 2011 but am having issues with the certificate. We have created a certificate following the guidance in Configuring System Center Updates Publisher 2011 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh134775.aspx) and Managing Security for System Center Updates Publisher 2011 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh134732.aspx) but am still having issues getting the system to recognize the cert we are using. Nothing I have read thus far has been helpful. Can someone please direct me and let me know what I'm doing wrong? Of course, if you aren't using the certificate you cannot publish updates!
