Seen this before, the uninstall does not remove some of the reg keys for the site that was uninstalled from the server.
From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Schwan, Phil Sent: Thursday, June 25, 2015 3:45 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: [mssms] ConfigMgr 2012 Secondary Site Install Failures I have a remote server across a slow link that I'm migrating from SCCM 2007 to ConfigMgr 2012 R2. After operating for a while as a Shared DP, I converted it to a full CM12 DP in order to prevent the need to copy some 60GB across the wire. That went absolutely fine (including the automatic uninstall of the SCCM 2007 Secondary Site role), but when I attempt to install a Secondary Site on it, it keeps failing saying there are already site components installed: [cid:[email protected]] (love the spelling/grammar errors btw :) ) While it's not specific as to what it found, it happens during a series of SQL checks on the server. Any ideas on what might be causing this error condition? -Phil _________________________________________________________________ Phil Schwan | Technical Architect, Enterprise Windows Services Microsoft VTSP ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) Project Leadership Associates | 2000 Town Center, Suite 1900, Southfield, MI 48075 Lync: 312.756.1626 Mobile: 419.262.5133 www.projectleadership.net<http://www.projectleadership.net/> [linkedin_logo-19x20] <http://www.linkedin.com/in/philschwan> [Twitter-Logo1-20x20] <https://twitter.com/philschwan> [wordpress-logo3] <http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/author/philschwan> [Description: Description: Description: Arrow email]Lead with Strategy.
