I don't recall any more recent blogs, but Chris Nackers and I both did some 
blog posts on this topic for SCCM 2007 a few years back:

Generally speaking, you create a prestaged media image and then upload it to 
the vendor per their procedures. Depending on the details, it may or may not 
involve booting the system to that prestaged media image at the factory and 
running part of the Task Sequence.
