Why not just add a sleep to do 100 an hour or something like that? Daniel Ratliff

If the deployment date determines the frequency of the summarization, then I can script the recreation of the deployments whenever I want and simply just set the deployment date to something in the past. However, if it’s based on last modified time, then I’ll have 800 deployments summarizing at the same time every 60 minutes for 30 days? That doesn’t seem right. I’ve already had to adjust summarization schedules for software updates to avoid database churn, so I’m cautious on this change. No matter what, I’ll start slow and I’ve already started, but it’s a daunting task I’d easily automate if I knew the answer. I’m wondering if anyone knows the truth behind summarization schedules for application deployments. I have many deployments to create in a short period of time and would like to avoid them all summarizing at the same times. Dialog box shows this: [cid:[email protected]] The paragraph at the top says “The period of time is calculated based on the deployment start time” but the settings say “Frequency of status updates for a deployment that was modified in the last x days” SO which is it? Is it based on the deployment start time or the last modified time? I’d like to think I can create the several hundred deployments with a deployment start time older than 90 days and avoid having them summarize every 60 minutes. Does anyone know which value the summarization schedule is based on? If it is the last modified time, I’ll have to be a bit more cautious about how many and when I create these deployments.
