Shavlik works and does its job but as Todd said, with Secunia you are able to do so much more. Plus the reporting in Secunia is amazing, at any given time I can find what PC’s have what installed that is out of date / out of patch. I highly recommend it. Many of the small modifications I formerly had to make on my own are now available in Secunia's patch creation process itself - so I have been able to take most recent patches directly into SCCM from the Secunia process. Things like "leave the quicktime icon off the desktop" and "accept Adobe's EULA and turn off auto-updates for Flash" --That kind of stuff is now checkboxes in the patch creation process - so I don't have to tear out the default patch and replace it with a customized one hardly ever.
