Client is in boundary and pulling from the correct DP. (No Fall back) Deployment is required. All Messages for State Message Detail level. Client Local, ASAP, ASAP. User Experience, Show all, Software Update Installation and System Restart checked. Server Suppressed workstations allow and commit changes checked. Top Deployment option to Download and install bottom Deployment option Do not install.
SUP was created, Updates downloaded, Distributed, then Deployed. The DP shows 100% compliant on the Package deployed. The Client shows the DP as the source for the Update. But yet the Client sits? What is the detail level for state messages? Is the time based on client local time and not UTC? Is the User visual experience on the user experience tab in the deployment set to something other than "hide in software center and all notifications"? You don't have the restart suppressed? You have both deployment options on the download settings tab in the deployment set to "download and install"? From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David McSpadden Sent: Thursday, September 24, 2015 8:46 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: [mssms] Clients not updating I have almost got this licked but my clients are not installing Software Updates. I have set the deployment with a deadline of as soon as possible in this test group. My Logs: Locations Services WUAHandler WIndowsUpdates UpdateStore CAS ServiceWindowManager ContentTransferManager UpdatesHandler ScanAgent SMSCliUi And ClientIDManagerStartup All seem to be fine but the updates I just deployed on Tuesday do not show up in Software Center, Or as being installed in Programs and Features and when I go ahead and Check for updates in the Windows Updates screen it shows they are still needed. What am I missing. No Maintenance windows any where that I have looked? What is stopping these clients from automagically updating and rebooting if needed?
