So I have found that I had 5 out of 25 dp servers that were jacked up.
The reason for the issues with the 5 was that I had at one point thought about
secondary sites.
You all talked me down from the wall on that one and I removed the WSUS role I
had added.
However that is not enough.
So this morning I have gone into IIS Manager, removed the WSUS site and
application pool
Went to DOS ran an appcmd.exe set config and reset IIS.
Then my pkglib shows me the pkg's on that dp.

I think I almost have all the gears moving in this SCCM 2012 R2 deployment.
After I have deployed all outstanding Windows updates to the PC's and servers I
will be begging for help with
ADOBE, Java, Apps, etc....
Any good links ahead of time on that type stuff. (Thinking of using SCUP 2011
for it if it is possible.)

Getting closer.
The DP I am pulling from is giving me an http error 400.
When I try:
http://localhost/sms_dp_smspkg$/pkglib
I get a 404.
So I have a DP problem not a client problem.
On the DP server I don't see anything obviously different from the DP on the
Primary site.
That DP works.
??
So...
What do I look at?

I usually see Past Due - Will be installed when updates have been deployed, I'm
past the deadline, but waiting for a maintenance window.

I've never messed with anything in software center about work hours.

What Siddharth said about the logs.

Maybe the client settings?
I changed two things (Bad I know.)
I changed the client settings under Computer Agent to show notifications for
new deployments.
And in software center I removed Thursday from the Work Information and applied.
Then I ran a Machine Cycle and software updates scan cycle from Configuration
Manager.

Now I see 31 updates in the Software Center stating they are past due and will
be installed.
Any ideas on when that will be??
Which logs to review to see them installing??

Client settings pushing the SUP url.
Only GPO for automatic updates being disabled.

Also make sure there isn't a GPO set defining a wsus point.

What is the detail level for state messages?
Is the time based on client local time and not UTC?
Is the User visual experience on the user experience tab in the deployment set

You don't have the restart suppressed?
You have both deployment options on the download settings tab in the deployment
set to "download and install"?

Subject: [mssms] Clients not updating

I have almost got this licked but my clients are not installing Software
Updates.
I have set the deployment with a deadline of as soon as possible in this test
group.
My Logs:
Locations Services
WUAHandler
WIndowsUpdates
UpdateStore
CAS
ServiceWindowManager
ContentTransferManager
UpdatesHandler
ScanAgent
SMSCliUi
And ClientIDManagerStartup
All seem to be fine but the updates I just deployed on Tuesday do not show up
in Software Center, Or as being installed in Programs and Features and when I
go ahead and Check for updates in the Windows Updates screen it shows they are
still needed.
What am I missing.
No Maintenance windows any where that I have looked?
What is stopping these clients from automagically updating and rebooting if
needed?
