I recently looked at Unitrends. I really liked the product and it appeared to
cover all of my needs. The one thing I did not like is you were required to
install an agent per server for a virtual environment other solutions let you
import one virtual application that talked to all of the servers in your
cluster. When it came down to it the price was the biggest sticking point.
Super cool software comes with a with a price. We ended up going with Datto.
Most of the features and fraction of the price. So far I have not run across
any gotchas.

Unitrends purchased PHD Virtual Technologies a couple of years ago. Version 9
of Unitrends is implementing many of the UI features of PHD Virtual Backup to
clean up the UI and make it faster. If I recall, version 9 is being released
in November and they're getting away from using Flash for the UI.

Anyone using Unitrends for backup? If so have you had any issues? Getting away
from BU Exec 2012 and would rather not upgrade to the latest BU exec version.
Not happy with Symantec right now. Anyone using BU exec 2014+ successfully?

Thanks for any info...
