I believe that the Dell OpenManage Server Admin tool (Storage Manager) V8.2 will give you the granularity to do this. Put your old drives in bays 3 & 4 and the new ones in 5 & 6. Install and launch the tool and use the Create Virtual Disk Advanced Wizard. I would make sure that your system BIOS and Perc firmware are fully updated first...
