I just recently introduced BatchPatch to co-workers that were longtime Heat (lumension) admins and they were quite impressed and excited. Not only is it fast and easy to use but it can be configured to show you that your servers have patched, rebooted, and all automatic services are functional. BatchPatch is licensed per user (not domain nor number of, as is the case with us, multiple id’s in those domains) and is exceedingly affordable. SCCM is not efficient or affordable for accurate patching. Nor does SCCM give real time results of the status of anything related to your patching.
