Thanks, but this seems not to be my issue; I cannot get the system to even boot in Safe Mode - there is a problem somewhere related to critical boot drivers / boot environment when imaging from MDT.
I can install the OS manually directly from DVD (native, unmodified Volume License version downloaded directly from Microsoft) and then install all of the hardware drivers; I actually have done that and then copied the resulting drivers from the DriverStore\FileRepository and put those in the MDT Out-of-Box Drivers (after first deleting the Dell CAB drivers) but that did not help. After the OS is applied and the system reboots, it fails booting to Windows. I am using driver selection profiles to inject model-specific drivers, and I imported all of the drivers from the Dell TechCenter CAB for the 3040 / W7x86. I also manually extracted and imported the Intel Rapid Storage F6 drivers. I have added the 2 hotfixes (KB2990941 and KB3087873) that Microsoft lists as needed for deploying Win7 to Skylake / NVMe storage to the Packages group. Any ideas as to what I am missing?
