How many Optimas do you have? I'm guessing 6 for 72 volts. If it were me I
would buy 6 of the 3 amp 12 volt Soneil chargers. This would run you a
little less then $300, but would take very good care of your batteries. You
can even use them to do the whole charge if you are not in any hurry.

Soliciting comments for those list members charging Optima Yellow Tops.
Do you strive to put in a finishing charge after the bulk charge phase?
Do you do it every time you charge?
What do you guys use to put in a 2 amp for 1 hour finishing charge that
the
manufacturer calls for?
I have been thinking that there must be some surplus power supplies out
there (cheap) that offer adjustable voltage and current that would work,
but I
don't know where to look.
