Mike has been a busy bee and added some new features
on the site. First, You have to log in to see them.
But they are a forum and an article archives. I
havent used the forum yet, but it looks purty. And
the archive, well....WHOOHOO!!
The archive should now be available to everyone. I oopsed on that.
They don't work quite like I want but they're functional. I should
also point out that particular archive button is for the news from
the site. Not this listserve. Maybe I should change the name of
that button.
That forum bit? That's not ready for prime time yet.
You know how on EVDL every six months or so someone (usually a
younger member of the group) thinks the whole idea of an email
listserv is old fashioned and if they could only get us old
fuddy-duddies to catch up with the rest of the world we'd be using
web based forums? I think that for the most part that's a load of
fooie. I prefer the email based listserv structure but, as we all
know, the web certainly has some advantages.
Remember my post from a couple months back about some new features I
thought everyone might like? Well, one of those things is a sync
between this listserv and a web based forum. That way you could use
whatever interface you prefer weather it be your email program or
your browser. But, as I mentioned above, it's not quite ready.
