you also need to look at what sort of journey it is everyday. is it highway driving, or stop start? regenerative braking will help you gain a small amount of range. also, converting a cruiser, with the hard side bags will give you a small amount of room for batteries. it all adds up

 Thank you (and others) for your response!  I have
type a few thoughts below.  Also, I am reading as much
as I can, trying to learn all of this EV stuff.  I
will have an EV one way or another, just hoping to
make a EM work for me..

I work on the wrong side of an Air Force base.  They
like to give out tickets for parking in
"non-designated spaces."  But now that I think about
it, there are a couple of buildings that provide some
hope..
