Not only box stock K1100LT but has the stock short windshield (okay at 6'4" all windshields look short to me  ;-).

Weight stock is 640lbs.(290 kgs)    Last bike I sold was a '97 K1100LT.

When I was thinking of getting a K as a donor bike, the appeal was the mono-lever shaft drive and the transmission. Was thinking the PMG would mount above the transmission, leaves a lot of room in front for batteries. But then the weight even shedding the water cooled four, cooling system, ignition system, stock battery, etc. still was an impediment.

What is the next project, we didn't get to talk about it yesterday evening?

Subject: [ElectricMotorcycles] OT: Seeking European Motorcycle Fairing Information

Hello from Colorado,
I am looking for a motorcyclist from Europe to help me learn about a particular touring style fairing. I have included a picture attached to this email of the specific model I am looking for. This fairing and a Universal Japanese Motorcycle chassis will serve as a test platform for one of my next projects.

The fairing is mounted to what appears to be a BMW K series (Europe only) model. I do not know if these fairings are available in the market or came as standard equipment from the manufacturer. But there are a number of them used on the chase cycles used to photograph the tour de France bicycle race.

Picture attached. The fairing is white and is located in the left background. I have seen several cycles with the white ones and one with a dark blue fairing. The white color leads me to believe that they may be after market items.

Any information from the group in tracking this down would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
