I know the drag race guys worry about motor run-away and require a way
to cut the power independent of the controller.
This is frequently a heavy duty disconnect sometime involving small
explosive charges.
Cool as that approach may be it won't help if the motor locks.
I'd like to arrange a mechanical clutch actuated by the usual handlebar
lever figuring that my first instinct when the motor seizes or takes
off will be to grab the clutch.
