It isn't off the shelf as the need to add a front bearing not needed
for golfcart transaxles. They use a Curtis AC controller, costs
around $3-4k for motor and controller. I wanted to use it but my
wallet wouldn't let me. I think Vextrix uses AC too.
Do you know what EM uses that motor? Hopefully it's in the EV album.
I'd love to have regen and since I'm still sketching options out I
haven't really started adding up costs...
The torque curves are nice, I'll try and find a curve for my stock
GS550 to compare.
That should tell me how I have to gear the motor to get the same
acceleration then multiply by motor top speed to figure bike top speed.
It's so much easier to procrastinate when you've got interesting
projects to daydream about.....
