i have a 500 series, but i never put it in to action. Jeffrey Blamey <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I tried the #330 which was for a smaller motor HP. I tore the belt up after a while and despite the largest weights it failed to lock up at near zero rpm. Best guess is I lost about 600 rpm. My tops speed was 40-45. Single gear ratio I get 60 mph.
According to the Hoffco engineers the Series 500 is sized for the motors we are using. Using the heaviest weights and no springs would net a near zero engagement. There is one bike on this listserv that has a right sized Comet CVT. Don't know their results. Side by side comparison acceleration, engagement rpm, etc. Cheers, Jeff harry Albuquerque, NM http://geocities.com/hendersonmotorcycles/blog.html http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1179 http://geocities.com/solarcookingman --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals?
