Hi Everyone, Just a reminder that we will be having a meeting of the FLEAA in Boynton Beach, at Lake Ida park at 0930 Saturday morning. Lake Ida Park is located just east of I-95 between Boynton Beach and Delray. The meeting will last about 3 hrs. Doughnuts will be there - Bring your own coffee! We will be discussing the upcoming events as well as some of the new FLEAA projects, like the FLEAA electric kart and FSEC EV restoration projects.
If you are in the North part of the state, be sure to head over to Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) for the Green Gathering at Skurla Hall, 2pm-8pm. FIT is having a weekend full of events on campus: Green Campus Group, and FIT Film Society in a combined effort to spread global climate awareness over two days this weekend: SATURDAY, APRIL 14th: Green Gathering at Skurla Hall, 2pm-8pm Schedule of Events 2:00PM - Solar Cookout with Kite Flying and Music 4:00PM - Presentation by the President of Global Renewable Energy and Nancy Wood of the Indian River "Five Star Women" Green Team 5:00PM - Open Forum Discussion 6:00PM - Free showing of "An Inconvenient Truth" sponsored by FIT Film Society Nancy and her team will be giving a "State of the Union, Statement of Action" presentation that will talk about the current climate situation around the world as well as what FIT students can do to help. In addition to this, there will be a raffle where participants can win some great prizes, as well as the opportunity to contribute to a photo/video package being sent to Washington D.C. with the Green Team on April 30th. SUNDAY, APRIL 15th: Solar Music Fair in the Panther Plaza, 10am-6pm An event with live music featuring four bands, tie-dye, and vendors from the surrounding community who are proprietors of green energy and environmentally friendly business. Win some great prizes including massage gift certificates and more! Also, come see cars that run on alternative fuels and learn more about what you can do as a college student to step it up and make an impact on our world!
