Hi Everyone,

Just a clarification and update from my previous post yesterday. I had a good
exchange last night with EVA of San Diego President Bill Hammons, whom I had
not previously had the pleasure of corresponding with and who I learned is a
big fan of the Florida EAA, has hosted folks from Florida at some of their
EVents in San Diego and personally hooked them up with the Florida EAA, sending
us new members. I assured Bill that the good feelings and admiration are
mutual, going back the other way as well. Regarding our two upcoming EVents on
the same weekend of January 25-27 -- EV Dragin' in San Diego and BBB in Miami
-- with many of us off in our own respective corners, each concentrating on his
own local scene (3,000 miles apart), it was really just a matter of completing
the circle of excellent communications and collaboration that has already been
going on for months between Shawn Waggoner here in Florida and Keith Vansickle
in San Diego and bringing others of us up to speed on each other's chapter's
latest developments with respect to the two EVents.

Bill is very excited about our two respective EVents happening simultaneously,
appreciates all the great coordination between Shawn Waggoner and Keith
Vansickle, looks forward to a possible link-up during the two events, and
believes that we should further disseminate this and get the word out to all
our respective chapter members so that we can "join forces and maximize our
efforts", as Bill put it. We agreed on the mutual benefits of cross-promoting
each other's EVents and specifically these two joint EVents together. One good
opportunity to do this is on a San Diego live "call in" radio show that is
coming up this Saturday, November 24 from 4pm to 6pm our time (1pm to 3pm
Pacific time) on the topic of EVs and sustainable transportation, during which
EV Dragin' will be heavily promoted. Bill said he would also like to see our
BBB promoted on the radio show and "would appreciate a call-in from Florida
announcing that you are doing the same thing, supporting that we are really not
so crazy." So I'm wondering if any of you guys who are primarily involved in
organizing BBB -- Shawn, Matt, Lowell, Cliff -- would be able to do this, to
call in to the San Diego radio show this Saturday from 4pm to 6pm Eastern Time,
and make a plug for BBB and the coordination with the simultaneous EV Dragin'
event there in San Diego?

(Maybe Shawn already knows about this from Keith and is already planning to
call in; not sure.) The call-in telephone number is: 760-845-8580, and the
website from which the radio show will be streamed live is:
www.you-auto-know.com. More specific information about the San Diego radio
show on EVs this coming Saturday is contained below.

Well, my wife just came home from work; yes, she had to work today on
Thanksgiving. So I had some downtime while waiting for her and wanted to get
this post out as an important amendment and clarification to my somewhat
dramatic and hasty overreaction last night to what was really just some
misunderstood second-hand communications.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
