Hi Brian,

Good to hear from you, are you still looking to convert a BMW? I know you
were exploring a couple of different options and not sure what you are
looking at currently.

As far as the list goes, I am to blame for the string of emails this
afternoon and evening. While I know it is not the pure EV/tech-focused topic
that some would like, however, it has created discussion and has gotten lots
of people to chime in and get involved. And that is what I was hoping for,
getting people involved. This email list sits idle for a while then gets
used to make an announcement about a meeting or event, and then goes idle
again. A few weeks back we had a good conversation going on a conversion
project for Scott - and that was great. The topic I posted has gotten some
good ideas and discussion going. The topic has strayed a bit from the
technical discussions, but the list is used for lots of ideas and topics. I
personally would like to see more tech focused discussions going, but they
seem hard to get people involved with.

As far as bylaws on posting, this list is for our members to discuss
anything EV related they want to. None of the emails by members are
moderated or screened. The only time a member email gets caught in the
filter is if it over 250K in size. Non-members are filtered (most of this is
SPAM and garbage). The only real guidelines are: 1) Keep it EV related
(hybrids are fine, but this isn't the best place to discuss bio-fuels) 2) Do
not use it for commercial solicitations 3) Don't discuss religion or
politics here. I think that's it really.

We have never formally defined guidelines as we have really wanted to keep
the list open and informal. Not every topic is going to be what everyone
wants to talk about, but I would ask that if you want to learn about EV
conversions and maybe specifically your project, please post it out here!

Thanks Brian,

Shawn

I would guess that this person wanted to get remove because of the aimless
rambbling that has been going on for the last 50 emails. I joined this list
to learn about electric car conversions. Are there any bylaws for the
postings here?
