Nice setup, I don't even want to know what 10 electricians cost on your
project!  I got my July electric bill today, $80 for fuel, $20/week paid
for grid electricity.  ($159 bill)

I have as of now, 3780 watts tracking and 4080 watts fixed on the roof.
I'm moving as much as I can to tracking for more power. The cost of
copper wire is a killer, I have a 160 ft homerun of #8 for each 6 panel
array, two per tracker.

I'm converting a Ford Ranger to EV soon and on my to-do list is a free
use EV charging station out by the side gate. I'm making around 50 KWH
per day this summer so it won't cost me so why not.

It is easier to encourage solar if you are using it yourself.  It is  
harder to encourage people to do things you aren't doing yourself.

I did the installation of the mounting rails myself to save $10,000.   
I spent $37,000 and got back $20,000 from the State of Florida.   
Buying the equipment from Sun Electronics saved me lots of money.   
Their prices are rock bottom.

Battery based grid-tied residential systems like mine are typically  
48VDC.  I use 8 6 volt golf cart batteries.  For longer duration of  
backup power you would use larger batteries.  Batteryless grid-tie  
systems provide no back up power but are more efficient.  But when  
the grid is down, you are down.  I build this system to have clean  
back up power and to reduce my monthly electric bill.

You would charge an EV using 110 or 220AC, some of which will come  
from your inverter, not from your PV system batteries.
