Louis That is a great idea. I have been thinking somewhat along thoselines. What would be necessary would be to find a donor car andspecifications that many people would like to own. As an example: Chevy S-10 65mph 50 mile range. The group designs the conversionspecifying the parts and methodology and then it becomes a simple process for anyonewith the desire. I have been interested in alternative fuel for aboutseven years. While an electric vehicle was initially my first choice Iultimately did a diesel to veggie oil conversion. I would still liketo convert a car to electric but the learning and design process willprobably take me a year. It would be wonderful to be able to purchasea specific vehicle and do a group conversion and have the vehicledriveable in a few weeks. Rather than pulling my hair out trying tofigure out the multitude of problems, I could have a drivable car andthen spend my thinking effort helping to improve the initial design.
This is a project that I would like to help and participate, Keep me posted ...
