You're probably right Bill, I can't remember if there's an actual opt-in because I originally signed up back in 2006.
I guess by registering on the sites it's an automatic opt-in to the mailing list? Did anyone on this ozmoss list NOT receive emails from SharePoint Experts ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) earlier today? I doubt that everyone signed up to ozmoss would also be signed up to the blogs/university sites with the exact same email addresses. If everyone on the ozmoss list received the emails then the explanation provided can't be true. So if you received the email and you have never ever signed up to the sites, request your registration IP from Dustin, and if he can't provide it, or it's some random IP from Lithuania or the Congo you then have the proof you need.
