Hi Bill

You can create a feature receiver class that contains code when a feature gets:

*       Installed

*       Activated

*       DeActivated

*       UnInstalled

You can do this by writing code in a class that inherits from SPFeatureReceiver
base class and override the following methods:

*       FeatureInstalled
*       FeatureActivated
*       FeatureDeactivating
*       FeatureUninstalling

Using the object model you can activate/deactivate a feature, but you cannot
install/uninstall a feature (as far as I am aware). If this was required then
in the FeatureActivated event you could write code that runs a .cmd/.bat file
that copies the feature and its associated files to the TEMPLATE\FEATURES
directory to install (and activate) the feature.

Subject: [OzMOSS] You can't have a hidden feature with an activation dependency?

-Create a hidden feature which creates a list
-Install feature
-Create a hidden feature which depends on the above hidden feature,
and creates an item in that list
-Attempt to install the second feature

"Hidden features with activation dependencies are not supported."

You can't be serious... is there NO way around this?
