Have a look at Alternate access mappings in Central Administration à Operations à Global Configuration. This will allow the site to be access with multiple domain names, so you can add an extra domain name (if you have an external domain name you can use) for external access. Hey all, I've got the following issue whenever I attempt to connect to my SharePoint site from outside my dmz I get the Under Construction page using the ip. can correct this per machine by editing the windows/system32/hosts file to include the name and ip i.e. dmzsharepoint 10.12.232.60. Although when I attempt to access on the server it's self via the name it works but via IP does not work get the under construction page. Any ideas? my SharePoint site is on port 80 by the way.
