Afternoon all, I've created an event handler to set item-level permissions on Task list items such that only the Assigned To user or group is able to edit the Task item. So far, so good. Unfortunately, doing this also creates permissions for the same user or group at a site level. Each user or group is assigned the Limited Access permission, regardless of any other permissions that they may have on the site. In the case where individual users are assigned tasks, this will result in a very large and cumbersome list of Site Permissions. Has anyone thought of a cunning workaround for this? It makes sense from SharePoint's perspective in that it guarantees that the person assigned the Task has permission to reach the Task list but it's going to make the site-level permissions very ugly. Thanks, David.
