Couldn't agree more, Dan, but there's just a stupid amount of legacy templates 
floating around the place that need to go up.

But I tell you what, if you can provide me with a good solid reason why I 
shouldn't upload all this dross, I'd be more than happy to hear it and put the 
recommendation forward.

What I can't see, however, is a viable way to manage this number of content 
types and forms libraries within a single site collection. Yes, that's the 
other thing I'm working with. :)

Ø  Hmm, this sounds like your making SharePoint a file dump instead of using it 
for content management. By doing so, you are losing some powerful functionality.

Sorry if this sounds / Comes across the wrong way Its not my intention.
By using a single document library as a place to store all your document 
templates, you lose the ability to add custom meta data, carve out the exact 
information you want, Search becomes more complex, etc.

Just need to be aware that storing documents in the way, can affect your 
information architecture / access to information and that there are 
implications which may affect you down the road.
