That's sweet - I think it works a treat in situations where you are managing
the media on behalf of the user, or in a product that they buy/get from you
(content management system, blog manager or something) and "configure" their
live account settings to upload to the service.

Do you think that Live Login would allow your site to access the user's account
on their behalf... also if you got their streaming service key you could
probably do some stuff (at least show the media)?

Cheers,

Jordan.

Subject: Re: [OzSilverlight] Silverlight Streaming Media Service - Upload API

There is a Silverlight Streaming REST API
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc304456.aspx).

There is currently no API to create new Silverlight Streaming accounts - So you
have to use your own Windows Live account - So you're stuck to 10GB storage..

Would be cool if there was a supported API to upload to a given users
Silverlight Streaming Account - That way each user of your "Flickr/Youtube"
like System would get 10GB each - Not 10GB to share now that you have to store
the data on behalf of the user...

Hi All,

Anybody know if there is an API to upload media to SSMS (Ala Flickr etc)?

Would be great to allow users to upload stuff from Silverlight clients on your
site etc (and would also be very cool in a CMS situation).

Cheers,

Jordan.
