That's sweet - I think it works a treat in situations where you are managing the media on behalf of the user, or in a product that they buy/get from you (content management system, blog manager or something) and "configure" their live account settings to upload to the service.
Do you think that Live Login would allow your site to access the user's account on their behalf... also if you got their streaming service key you could probably do some stuff (at least show the media)?
