Yeah – still no go. Do you have a config file somewhere that it
relies on to initialise correctly? If the Activity throws an exception in the
constructor then it won’t work in the designer (I’ve found). From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mitch Denny Can’t get to that point. When I drag on the Activity to the
designer and let go it doesn’t actually appear. Let me give it another go
though. From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bernardo Heynemann You should have to configure the Activity properties like Server,
ServerPort, and such. you did that? On 9/20/06, Mitch Denny <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hi Bernardo, To test this out – I created a sequential
workflow console application. Added a reference to the Activity. Dragged it
over from the toolbox into the workflow and nothing happened. I'm guessing that
there is some configuration that needs to be in place for the design time
experience to work? From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On
Behalf Of Bernardo Heynemann First of all, I´m aware that this is a cross-post of my Blog (
http://manicprogrammer.com/cs/blogs/heynemann/archive/2006/09/20/122.aspx ),
but since many, many people here don´t read my blog (someone does? hehehe) I
would like to share this with a lot of really SMART guys you are, sou you can
help me out. Having said that, the cross-post: I´m really really proud to release iteration one in such a small timeframe.
I just worked in the project for two days of spare time (about 8hrs or so) and
accomplished a lot in the areas of learning the technology, implementing the
iteration requirements, setting up Continuous Integration support for the
CodePlex project, setting up SandCastle documentation builds and achieving a
really cool Code Coverage stat (I´ll leave it as a surprise, since I´ll publish
stats later). Iteration 1 ships with a CreateWorkItem activity for Windows Workflow
Foundation that upon execution will create a workitem in the specified team
server with the specified title and description. I´m completely aware that it´s not much in terms of code, but each project
needs momentum and I believe I got it now, since my only tasks from now on are
developing the remaining features (almost no administrative tasks left woof!). Still I got no applications for the project team. I´m attributing that to
the fact that it´s still a really new project and the technology it involves is
pretty unknown to many. Hopefully we´ll get more applications, but now I want FEEDBACK, FEEDBACK,
FEEDBACK! Just go on, create a Hello World Workflow that uses the Create
Workitem activity (you may even create a Hello World WorkItem, lol), and report
back any suggestions, problems, etc. You can check the release here Release Iteration 1 Beta,
but as I always recommend, check the wiki since there´s a lot more information
there at Project Bhal Wiki. I´ll be posting tomorrow a comprehensive post (maybe two) about the
following topics that I found interesting in this iteration:
