Further to my previous post mitch, i'm trying to automatically set the Disciple and Area properties.

<WorkItemFieldValues>Work Item Type=Bug;Assigned To=XXXXX;Rank=1;Priority=1;Discipline=Release Management;Area=Continuous Intergration;Symptom=build break;Steps To Reproduce=Start the build using Team Build;</WorkItemFieldValues>

I can't seem to set it correctly? Of course, the Area is a custom area, while the discipline is stock with MSF Agile.

cheers :)

You need to edit the team build script for example:

                $/TeamProjectName/TeamBuildTypes/BuildTypeName/TFSBuild.proj

Go down to the WorkItemFieldValues element and add to it:

                Assigned To=Whoever

From memory – that should get it working the way you want.

Subject: [OzTFS] How to change the Work Item 'Assigned To' when a team build fails?

Hi Folks,

when a Team Build fails, a work item is auto generated to the Account which runs the team build. Eg. <domain>\TFSService, if you have recycled that account.

how can this 'Assigned To' be changed on a fail, please?

Cheers :)

/me having lots of fun (& some trouble) getting team builds to work with Web Deployment projects, Automaton and Tests :)
