Hi Martis,

That’s the only patch you need to install before installing TFS SP1.

It will shutdown all services to guarantee that during the installation
there’s no activity from developers and so guarantee that TFS databases will
be ok at the end of installation.

If you have a dual server installation you have to install the patch in both
application-tier server and data-tier server. If you don’t do that it will
show this message: "The application tier <TFSServer> is attempting to
connect to a data tier with an incompatible version".

Best regards,

Sónia Moreira

Subject: [OzTFS] VS2005 Sp1

Hi folks,

now that visual studio 2005 SP1 has been released a few months ago & we
were planning to install Visual studio SP1 in our TFS servers, I came
across a KB article in MSDN which says to install a patch
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919156 ) before installing SP1. Just wanted
to know if there is any other such patches which we need to install before
applying SP1. & if anyone has faced issues while applying SP1 on a single
box installation of TFS.

cheers :)
